Care worker Alan Willson was left with no mental capacity and now has to be tube fed after he was savagely beaten by thugs who were bullying his 11-year-old son[/caption]The 46-year-old, who worked tirelessly through the pandemic, had been in hospital since the attack in April but his wife Annie says he is now home with his family.
She said: “He cannot speak and has lost vision in one eye and has now been assessed as having no mental capacity due to four brain injuries.
“He cannot eat so is fed through a tube every three hours by me.
“He has had such great trauma to his face — he won’t even allow us to shave him as it’s an object coming towards him.”
Alan had an object smashed on his head in a park in Worthing, West Sussex, on Easter Sunday.
An online appeal raised £36,915 towards adaptations to his home.
