A MUM is fearing for her newborn baby girl after her “unsafe” tap water started to run yellow.
Becky Jenkins, 27, says the water at her home in Hedon, Yorkshire, has turned a pale yellow colour repeatedly since November last year.

The issues have also spread to her toilet and shower.
Yorkshire Water has apologised for the “inconvenience”, adding that they will be resolving the problem by carrying out a flush on local pipes “in the coming days”.
Becky told the Hull Daily Mail: “”It has always been intermittent, so I didn’t think anything of it, I just ran the water till it cleared.
“But since being pregnant, that’s when the issue really struck me and I thought, I don’t want to be drinking this water, it’s unsafe.”
Yorkshire Water told Becky to run the water until it became clear, but also not to use dishwashers or any other appliances that use hot water.

They have also supplied bottled water to Becky’s house.
The problem spread to two other nearby properties in Hedon in August.
Tests carried out by Yorkshire Water showed the water had high levels of aluminium, magnesium and iron, Becky said.
She said: “They say as well, because I’ve got a newborn – she’s eight weeks – and they expect her to live off like regular formula or told to use bottled water to make the formula, but I can’t really use bottled water because it’s got added minerals in. Newborns don’t need that.”
Becky said her water bill has doubled from £30 when she first moved in to £64 now as she has had to run the water for longer to get rid of the yellow colour.
A Yorkshire Water spokesman said: “We apologies for the inconvenience some customers are experiencing on Roslyn Crescent.
“Discolouration can be caused by naturally occurring mineral deposits that build up inside the pipe getting disturbed and making the water cloudy.
“We will be flushing the pipes in the area in the coming days to remove this and supplies will return to normal.”
