NASTY Nick Bateman was the original Big Brother villain we all loved to hate, but he has a different life now.
Nick, now 54, appeared on the original series of Big Brother in 2000, setting the standard for future housemates by playing fellow contestants against each other.

Nick was the first ever housemates who was asked to leave the house – not evicted.
Known as Nasty Nick by viewers, Nick tried to manipulate housemates into nominating each other so he could win the prize money.
He passed notes and it got him the boot.
Over the years Nick has played on his “nasty” nickname and has played the villain in several pantomimes.
After leaving the show, Nick decided to turn his new nickname into a money-spinner and released his first book, How to be a Complete B*****d in 2001.

He then became a journalist for national newspapers, even writing a column for The Sun for a brief period of time.
Despite being initially hated, the dastardly contestant managed to win people back over when he participated in Ultimate Big Brother in 2010 – coming 5th place and losing out to BB2’s Brian Dowling.
Nick has now started a new life in Sydney, Australia, working as a writer and broadcaster.
His Twitter bio reads: “If you knew me based on who I was 16 years ago, you don’t know me at all.”
However, Nick has also proved he was actually a big softie at heart and has been an avid fundraiser for Cancer Research UK – winning the £10,000 prize pot for them in a celebrity version of quiz show The Weakest Link, and fronting a television campaign for the charity.
Big Brother winner Craig Phillips revealed that the last person he saw from his series was Nick– but he was left surprised when the TV villain told fibs to impress Craig’s wife Laura.
Craig told us: “The last person I saw was Nasty Nick. Laura and I went travelling around Asia and then went on to Australia – Sydney and Perth.
“I knew Nick was living in Sydney so I spent four or five hours with him over a couple of bottles of wine.
“Sometimes you can catch him when he’s a bit normal but because Laura was there it was lie after lie after lie!”
