A FUNFAIR has been shut down tonight after a man in his 20s fell unconscious on a ride.
The event at Paignton Green, Devon is closed to punters this evening while investigations are carried out.
The air ambulance landed at the funfair in Paignton Green, Torbay today after a man fell unconscious on a ride[/caption]An air ambulance was seen landing close to the attraction earlier today.
Staff at the fair say the man was not injured on the ride itself.
No comment is yet available from either police or the Health and Safety Executive.
One eyewitness said: “There’s been a major incident at the fair on the green and the fair has shut.”

A spokesperson for Anderton & Rowlands Fun Fair said: “At approximately 6pm today, an incident occurred on one of our rides.
“The passenger, a male in his early 20s, passed out whilst the ride was operation.
“When the ride stopped, he was put into the recovery position and an ambulance was called.
“There was no accident or defect on the ride.

The spokesperson also confirmed that the funfair is expected to reopen tomorrow.
