Mum comes up with an ingenious way to hide her Internet and Sky boxes to ensure her lounge looks stylish from all angles
YOU want a stylish lounge but also want decent Internet and TV – without ugly black boxes cluttering your surfaces.
That’s the situation Charlene Poyner found herself in, before she decided to do something about it.
“How I hide my Internet and Sky box,” she wrote over her TikTok video.
First, she picked up some of the cardboard boxes that are designed to look like books.
Then she grabbed several pieces of wooden timber, and a decorated metal sheet from Amazon.
Charlene began by gluing the timber together to create a large box, on the top and sides of which she added the metal sheet.

She then used a tin of matte white spray paint from Amazon to spray the box she’d just made and her two book boxes.
Once they were dry, she put them on her shelf, with the larger book box covering up her Internet router and a smaller one next to it to make it look more realistic.
She then placed the metal topped box over her Sky box, placing a decorative item on top of it for added effect.
People were quick to praise her for the clever DIY hack in the comments section on the video.
