“The key to dressing any body type is understanding how to balance your proportions while evening out the disparity between where you’re fullest and where you’re narrowest, and then creating definition through the midsection,” Stolch began in a social media video.

“When it comes to a large chest, there’s some styling hacks that will absolutely achieve this.”

BALANCE THE VOLUME BETWEEN TOP AND BOTTOM

“Hack number one is our overarching theme, which is balancing your top and your bottom,” Stolch said.

She explained that when your chest is large, you want to even out your weight distribution by choosing pants that match in volume.

BODYSUITS ARE YOUR BEST FRIEND

According to Stolch, bodysuits should be your wardrobes “best friend.”

“They create a super flattering structure, they’re easy to fit, and most importantly, they stay in place without riding up,” she said.

TIE FRONT OR TUCKED IN TOPS

In order to create structure, tie front or tucked in shirts should be considered when you have a larger chest.

“Untucked shirts just end up creating a boxy effect because they hang directly from your bust,” Stolch said.

CHOOSE FITTED STRUCTURED CUTS

Being busty doesn’t mean sticking to oversized clothing.

Stolch said: “There’s a tendency to want to cover large breasts with billowy fabric. You actually highlight this body type by doing the opposite. By choosing clothing that’s really structured.”

EMPIRE WAIST TO CREATE SHAPE

Defining your waistline directly below your bust, AKA an empire waistline, highlights your natural hourglass silhouette, and then prevents fabric from looking too shapeless, says Stolch.

A-LINE

The fashion expert recommended A-line dresses and skirts to create balance.

She said: “Remember at the beginning of this, I said evening out the disparity between where you’re widest and where you’re narrowest, and that’s exactly what the A-line does.”

WRAP

Stolch highlighted a particular dress and top style that looks amazing on women with large chests.

“Wrap dresses and tops are universally flattering, especially if you’re fuller through the chest,” she said. “The v-front panelling opens up the neckline, and then the cinched waist defines your midsection.”

STRETCHY TOPS

For busty women who struggle to find the perfect button down, Stolch suggested an alternative.

“Hack number eight is to go for stretchy, ruched fabrics, because often times button downs are just too difficult to fit. Any pulling is going to look completely intentional, it’s going to feel so much more comfortable than other styles.”

NECKLINES

Necklines also play a significant role when it comes to dressing for a larger bust, says the fashionista.

“When you want to feel open but a v-neck feels too revealing, go for a scoop, a square, or a boat neck – and contrary to popular opinion, a crew neck is absolutely not off limits,” she said.
