Drivers stunned as car is left on ZEBRA CROSSING at Lidl despite car park being empty
DRIVERS were left stunned after a car was left on a zebra crossing at Lidl – despite the car park being empty.
Motorists couldn’t believe their eyes on Sunday when they spotted the wee car blocking a pedestrian crossing outside the Hamstead store near Birmingham.
Local resident Mike Mackin snapped a photo of the Vauxhall Astra because he couldn’t comprehend the choice of parking – especially because there were so many empty bays around Lidl.
Mike then posted a photo of the bizarre parking to social media.
He told BirminghamLive: “I was just stunned that someone would park there as there was lots of spaces available.
“It was on a Sunday so it’s empty and never ever full.”

The news came just days after a council released photos of the worst parking attempts in Birmingham.
One showed a Honda Jazz that had been squeezed between bollards and abandoned on a pavement blocking it for pedestrians.
Another showed a silver Ford Fiesta parked in front of a charity shop door, blocking it and forcing the shop to shut.
And, there was one photo that showed a Volkswagen Golf left diagonally across a traffic island with its wheels hanging onto the road at both ends.
