I’m trolled for giving my teenage daughter presents when she’s punished at school – I’m not a bad parent
WHEN your child is told off at school, most parents respond with discipline, but that’s not the case for one liberal mum.
Supportive mum Sam – aka samharry1102 – regularly updates her TikTok followers about her teenage daughter’s issues in the classroom.
In previous years, she’s spoken out against trolls who say her teen’s goth-style make-up is too intense.
Now, she’s fighting back against other opinionated parents who say she’s wrong to hand out presents when her daughter’s been punished.
In a recent video, Sam shares footage of teen Ash unwrapping a selection of presents while sporting a black outfit, black hair and a curved nose piercing.
The gifts, which appear to be from well-wishers, are happily received by Ash.

Sam includes a message to her TikTok followers while Ash rips open a large parcel.
“After another bad day at school, this arrived today from her Amazon wish list,” the text reads. “After the day she’s had, having a breakdown at school and being sent home, this really cheered her up.”

The loving mum writes a caption alongside the video: “Thank you so much. Bless her little heart, she has had a horrific day today and this made her smile. We thank you all for all the support.”
Sam holds the camera steady as Ash exclaims: “I know what this is, it’s a coffin shelf.”

The duo’s fans have followed Ash’s challenging school life for months, watching as she explains questionable rules and harsh punishment enforced for what she claims are essential needs, like using the bathroom during lesson time.
Their followers take turns to comment on how pleased they are to see a smile on Ash’s face.

“And what would you know about parenting, sweetheart?” she asks. “Especially parenting a teenage girl who suffers awful anxiety due to the school. If someone from TikTok wants to send my daughter something from her Amazon wish list to make her feel better, who am I to stop them?”
