Punter turns £1.50 into £30,000 thanks to THREE late Champions League goals including Spurs’ 95th minute winner

HEADING into injury time and needing three goals for your bet to land, you’d be forgiven for binning it off.

And that’s surely what this plucky William Hill punter thought before a remarkable turnaround saw THREE very late goals in Tuesday’s Champions League games win them over £30,000.

Even more incredible than that, it all came from just a £1.50 stake on four matches.

The gambler picked correct results from four games across the competition on the same night.

First of those was Bayern Munich to beat Inter Milan 2-0 in Group C, with Benjamin Pavard and ex-Stoke star Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting grabbing the goals for the German side to get the bet off to a flier.

In their second selection – a 3-1 win for Ajax – Rangers played host to the Dutch side at Ibrox in what was essentially a dead rubber.

Ajax took an early two-goal lead before James Tavernier halved the deficit on 87 minutes from the spot.

Substitute Francisco Conceicao then fired a left-footed shot home from inside the box to wrap up the win for the visitors on 89 minutes.

Tottenham to win 2-1 in Marseille was the third leg of the four-fold and looked to kill the bet with a 1-1 scoreline heading into the closing stages of added time.

That was before Pierre-Emile Højbjerg had other ideas with the last kick of the game and won the tie in the 95th minute for Spurs to send them through as group winners.

Incredibly, more drama was to follow when Darwin Nunez reacted quickest to a rebound from the Napoli keeper to prod home deep into stoppage time.

That made the game 2-0 to Liverpool with the final kick of the game – again – before the linesman’s flag ruled it out.

After a minute or two for the neutral – and probably much, much longer for the punter – VAR overruled the linesman and awarded the goal in the 98TH MINUTE to land the extraordinary punt.

At odds of 13,584/1, the punter also used their daily Bet Boost from William Hill to round the odds up to a huge 20,376/1, winning them £30,566.25 from just £1.50.
