I’m A Celeb bosses reveals how this year’s show will be bigger than before
I’M A Celebrity bosses have revealed how the return of the show to Australia will be bigger than ever with more trials and a huge opening show.
The producers of the hit ITV show, which is set to air on Sunday, November 6, have planned a whopping 24 gruesome trials for the celebrities across the 21 episodes.
It comes as the show has returned to the Jungle in New South Wales after two years at Gwrych Castle in Wales following restrictions caused by the pandemic.
Speaking about the opening show, I’m A Celeb executive producer Olly Nash said: “It is much bigger than we have ever done before and we are filming more than we have ever filmed before.
“There will be more elements over more shows than has happened in the past so it is not all going to be limited to the first show.”
Meanwhile the Jungle treehouse, which is used by Ant and Dec, has been totally revamped as the show celebrates its 20th anniversary.

Olly added: “We are coming back with a bang! The set has been here for 20 years and we have added on extra bits every single year and it was just time for a complete refresh.
Technology has moved on so we needed to put in new lamps and lights so it was a great new rebuild for us.
“Loads of things have been rebuilt and refreshed for this year so it is a slightly bigger space than we had normally had in the past.”

Meanwhile it is not just the set that has been made bigger as the camp where the celebrities will be staying has also been expanded to make room for three beds, seven hammocks and a luxury RV that sleeps two.
Olly revealed: “It has been slightly enlarged on the creek side of the camp while the fire is still very much the same.

“We also have bunk beds which is a first for I’m A Celebrity and we also have a luxury RV for two which was driven through the Jungle about 35 years years ago and broke down and has never moved since.
“That will make a very comfy home for two people inside there if they are lucky and clever enough a few days into the show.”
