WE all love an underdog story – but this is getting ridiculous.
I’m prepared to accept that, against all the odds, Superman always saves the world, that Tom Cruise’s mission is never quite impossible and even that the Paw Patrol are keeping us all safe from harm on a daily basis.
But I just can’t buy into the idea that odd-looking comic Pete Davidson is seriously this irresistible — after now being linked to Emily Ratajkowski just months after splitting from Kim Kardashian.
Reports from the US claim the Saturday Night Live host has been dating supermodel Emily, with the pair spotted in New York’s Brooklyn on Sunday and onlookers saying: “His hands were all over her and they’re clearly, clearly hooking up.”
At first his reputation as a novelty lothario was a laugh, but I think it’s time for men everywhere to start getting worried.
We’re slowly becoming romantically redundant as Pete works his way through every eligible beauty on the planet.

He’s already dated Bridgerton’s Phoebe Dynevor, Hollywood star Kate Beckinsale and pop A-lister Ariana Grande.
How long before he works his way through all of showbusiness and starts employing his charms at your local pub on a Friday night? It’s surely only a matter of time.
Rumours of his prowess have long circulated online, with jokes about his impressive manhood adding to his “energy” recently confirmed by a TV co-star — but there surely must be something more?

She said on a US chat show: “He’s a professional. First of all, you should know that about Pete. He’s got the height. Obviously women find him very attractive.
“Guys are like, ‘Wow. What’s that guy got?’ He seems super charming. He’s vulnerable. He’s lovely. His fingernail polish is awesome. He looks good.”
I’ll go for a manicure and hold the door open . . . but there has to be more?
Fans quickly took to social media to express their shock over the new pairing, with one quipping that Pete has now become the must-have fashion accessory for female A-listers — which actually makes sense.
In a world where recent fashion trends have included men carrying handbags, ludicrously revealing cut-outs and even the unlikely return of platform shoes, perhaps having a man who looks like he’s come straight from The Lord Of The Rings on your arm isn’t out of the question.

Maroon 5 are going live
MAROON 5 have announced their return to the UK and Europe with a string of dates for next summer.
The Los Angeles rockers – Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, James Valentine, Matt Flynn, PJ Morton and Sam Farrar – will perform their first headline show here for eight years at London’s O2 Arena on July 3.
The European stretch will also include shows in Portugal, Spain, Czech Republic, Denmark, Netherlands, Germany and France.
It is hard to believe the jaunt comes 19 years after their breakout hit This Love, but they’re still on top form. Tickets go on sale on Friday.
Mora the merrier, Rita
THE stars were out in force at the MTV EMAs and it was Taylor Swift who cleaned up with four awards, including Best Artist.
After walking the red carpet in a jewelled gown, she wore this minidress, right, to celebrate her armful of gongs.
But as my pictures show, it was Rita Ora who really put the wardrobe department to work, with eight outfit changes during the ceremony, which she hosted with hubby Taika Waititi in Dusseldorf, Germany.
Among the looks were a purple feathered dress, a leather gown with a pink wig and a black ensemble covered in old wristwatches.
Lewis Capaldi, Ava Max and Muse performed, along with Stormzy, who had a wild night.
The rapper went on Instagram Live backstage where he said he was desperately searching for Taylor – eventually getting a selfie with her.
He said afterwards: “I met Taylor and she’s lovely.”
It must have been a big one because he missed his flight home.
Stormzy yesterday shared a photo of himself asleep on the laps of three pals at the airport.
He’s due at the GQ Men of the Year Awards tomorrow, so I hope the hangover isn’t too painful.
Nas has a Bal-ast
GIVEN he is in the midst of a world tour, I wouldn’t have blamed Lil Nas X for wanting to have a quiet weekend while in London.
But the Industry Baby rapper ended up having a non-stop trip, including a ridiculously late night out at the G-A-Y club night at Heaven on Friday.
While many may have got there early to make the most of the evening, I’m told he didn’t arrive until 3.50am – giving him only ten minutes inside before it closed.
He then hung out with fans before swerving fine dining room service at his luxury five star hotel The Rosewood in favour of a McDonald’s at 5.40am.
And the fun didn’t stop there.
Lil Nas delivered a blinding performance at West London’s Eventim Apollo on Saturday night – his first headline show in the UK – and then met celebrity fan Jade Thirlwall from Little Mix afterwards.
But his most surprising celebrity encounter came on Sunday, when he posed for a snap with Strictly Come Dancing’s head judge Shirley Ballas.
He was on his way to the cinema to watch Black Panther: Wakanda Forever when he bumped into Shirley, who asked for a selfie.
She said he was “such a delightful human being.”
If things dry up after this tour, at least he has the offer of a stint on the Strictly dance floor.
Adele gambles on Vegas gigs
ADELE has warned Las Vegas venue Caesars Palace that her delayed residency shows could overrun.
Insiders revealed Weekends With Adele, which starts in Sin City on Friday, could tip over 1hr 40min – which bosses at the hotel and casino complex say poses a possible headache.
A source said: “Adele’s show includes audience participation, and there is no way she is going to rush that.
“Caesars Palace wants the show to stick as closely to 100 minutes as possible but ultimately it will be as long as it needs to be.
“In the casino’s dream world, ticket holders will enjoy the show then spend some cash drinking and gambling. But they’re worried if Adele’s show overruns too much, that won’t happen.
“Adele isn’t going to rush anything and she plans for every single performance to be a night none of her fans will ever forget.”
Insiders told me how the Easy On Me singer had planned to have a 40-strong orchestra and 60-singer choir for the shows which were due to start in January this year.
But she has shrunk that figure to a 20-musician band with three backing singers, while her choir will be reduced to 30.
The source added: “Adele wants the concert to be more intimate and to connect to the audience by being in with them during the performance.
“It will be packed with her warmth and personality.”
