Wes Nelson admits he felt ‘cooped up’ with model ex as he pours heartache into new single
WES NELSON has revealed a bad break-up with his last girlfriend was the basis of new track Three Words (Message To My Ex).
The Nice To Meet Ya singer said in an exclusive chat that his split from model Lucciana Beynon this summer after two years together left him struggling.

Wes said: “I wrote Three Words at a vulnerable time. It is my best writing because it was honest, I was hurt.
I had broken up with my ex and I was in my feelings. There is also a stigma . . . men never share how they feel, especially when it comes to heartbreak.
And I think we need to break that stigma.
“There were situations in that relationship where I felt I was being reserved and I wouldn’t go to places, I felt cooped up.

“A lot of the time men can be seen as the controlling ones. I have it a lot in all my relationships.
“Women I am with think others will think I am very available.
“So their defence is to keep me wrapped up.
“I want to be able to go out and do normal things.”

Wes is supporting N-DUBZ on their nationwide tour, including playing London’s O2 Arena on Thursday night.
The ex-Love Island contestant, right, who has been struggling with laryngitis, has played more than 100 gigs this year.
He added: “I absolutely love what I am doing at the moment.
“I have started to get a fan base for my music and that is what I want to grow next year. I don’t care about sales or accolades.
“For me, what is important is growing that community. They are the ones I am doing this for.”
Fright night for Adele
Adele was still smiling as she prepared to kick off her delayed Caesars Palace residency in Las Vegas last night, despite admitting she was bricking it.
She shared this snap of herself at the venue on Instagram and wrote: “I’m highly emotional, incredibly nervous but can’t sit still because I’m so excited.

“I feel a million miles away from home. I can’t stop thinking about when I was little and saw Tom Jones in Mars Attacks! and thought, ‘Blimey, how did he get from Wales to Las Vegas!?’.
“It’s safe to say I have never been more nervous before a show in my career.
Little Mix insisted it would be no time at all before they were back together as they went on their hiatus in May.
But Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Ann-Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall have waited months to launch their solo careers – and now it looks like the break could be for the long-term after all.
They are closing down the company they filed concert earnings through.
The band have applied to put Eternal Magic Touring into liquidation, meaning it would be shut down and the remaining assets split between them.
That should give them a healthy Christmas bonus, though, because it currently holds just under £5million.
Trust Pink to make her best
Pink will release her ninth studio album – Trustfall – on February 17, and has promised it is her best yet.
The Never Not Gonna Dance Again singer’s release will come less than a week after the 2023 Brit Awards, making me think a return to the biggest night in music could also be on the cards.

Talking about the record, she said: “This album is the best album I have ever made as I had time and I had a lot of really devastating things happen.
“It takes your kids getting sick to be like, ‘OK, none of this matters, I want to see my kids grow up’.
And then my dad died and that is also a reminder that I have a certain amount of time left.
“None of us are going to live for ever so how do I want to spend this time?”

A hearty thanks to Si’s spirit
Simon Cowell is to be honoured for his kind-hearted work and “enriching the lives of millions”.
The man behind The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent will receive the Exceptional Generosity in Philanthropy gong at the Variety Club Showbusiness Awards on Monday evening.

Simon is being handed the award by his pal and fellow BGT judge Amanda Holden, who is hosting the event in London.
All proceeds raised at the bash go to Variety, the children’s charity that has raised hundreds of millions of pounds to help disabled and disadvantaged kids.
Celebrities including Kylie Minogue, Judi Dench and The Beatles are among those previously honoured.
Variety chairman Professor Jonathan Shalit OBE said of Simon’s accolade: “The Variety Club Silver Heart Awards are made to special people in recognition of their global achievements.
The awards recognise the unique creative contribution made by each winner in reaching out and enriching the lives of millions.
“Simon’s philanthropy is nothing short of extraordinary. His public associations are well chronicled.
“But the real reason Variety has awarded Simon the Variety Club Silver Heart Award for Exceptional Generosity in Philanthropy is as much, if not more, for what he does privately and unheralded.
“Simon has literally – in true Variety spirit – enriched the lives of millions.”
Gemma’s in a winter onesie land
THIS onesie and beret combo with furry coat put a warm smile on Gemma Collins’ face – but she might have to wrap up a bit more for her next job.
I can reveal the reality star, who was at the launch of Hyde Park Winter Wonderland in London on Thursday, has signed up for Channel 4’s The Greatest Snowman and will be flying out to Austria next week to start filming.

The show, hosted by Sue Perkins, will see her compete against other celebrities to sculpt snow and ice creations.
A source said: “Gemma got asked to do the show and thought, ‘why not?’.
She loves a holiday and loves Christmas, so why not combine the two and get paid for it?
“She’s done pretty much everything she wants to do on TV so is now taking jobs she thinks she’ll enjoy.

“Gemma could be in for a shock, though, as it’s certainly going to be a working holiday.”
I hope she lasts longer in the snow than she did in the jungle.
