I’m not surprised Boy George is I’m A Celeb’s highest-paid star, says his famous goddaughter Aisleyne
BOY George has become the highest-paid I’m a Celebrity contestant in the show’s history – and those close to him aren’t surprised.
The Sun previously revealed the iconic singer had inked a deal for more than £800k to join this year’s line-up of famous campers.
Now his goddaughter, Big Brother legend Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace, has spoken out about his decision to slum it in the Aussie jungle for three weeks.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Aisleyne, 43, said: “Of course it was the money that got him in there!
“He’s an absolute living legend and a diva, he’s not going to take a penny crumb.
“He’s an artist – reality stars are reality stars and that’s fine but people like him are one of a kind.”

Aisleyne’s mum Sophia, who tragically passed away in 2012, was best pals with George, 61.
And the reality star insists he hasn’t always been used to the life of a pop superstar.
She said: “He was a punk, my mum was a punk… yes he’s used to luxury now but they used to slum it.”
One of George’s fellow campers is Hollyoaks hunk Owen Warner, who had viewers in hysterics when he appeared to have no idea who the Karma Chameleon hitmaker was.

Aisleyne insists George wouldn’t have been too bothered by Owen’s slip-up, adding: “I think George would’ve just laughed it off but I think it’s a bit of a liberty he didn’t know who he was.
“This younger generation doesn’t know who anybody is.”
