Sharing the hack on her TikTok account @tnstyles, the DIY lover explained how she makes her Christmas tree look more expensive without breaking the bank.

The posh look trees all have one thing in common, they’re not gappy.

The trouble is they’re also pretty pricey.

It turns out you can fix this problem by adding “a few strands of inexpensive garlands” around your tree.

Since most trees are the same, or at least a very similar shade of green the garland should blend perfectly into the existing tree.

“You can even add garlands that are already decorated with ornaments or pinecones to makes decorating easy,” the Christmas fan said.

On her large tree, she used three garlands that were £4 each – but you’ll need less if you have a shorter or slimmer tree.

For even more fullness, you can add some more greenery in contrasting colours.
