Woman claims to have figured out why knickers have a tiny pocket on them – but her theory sees her savaged by trolls
SHE was convinced she had changed the world with her discovery – but instead, Anie Zabay was savaged by trolls.
Whether it’s a little lacy number or sexy Brazilians, you’ve probably noticed that almost every pair of knickers comes with a tiny pocket inside.
But does anybody even know the purpose of these?
Well, Anie, better known to her TikTok fans as @aniezabay1, thought she had found the answer; one she then shared on social media.
According to Anie, the real reason is quite simple – it’s to help people fold their undies.
Convinced her theory is right, Anie even uploaded a video to prove the point.

She claimed that by placing the bottoms with the behind section facing you, you should roll them like a burrito.
Then, Anie demonstrated in the now viral-clip, repeat the same process from the sides, before tucking it all into the tiny pocket.
Left with a compact set of knickers, the hacks enthusiast said: ”I love how my underwear’s organised.
”Im sure you’ll love it too [sic],” Anie added in the caption.

But much to her surprise, it seems that social media users didn’t love the trick – if anything, they flocked to comments where Anie’s theory was brutally savaged.
”Lol that’s not the reason for it,” wrote one.

Another agreed, explaining: ”Not for folding. Its to keep give extra moisture protection..”
”We all know that’s not the reason,” a third sighed.
”I thought it was to put a thin pad in there in case of a leak,” someone reckoned.
Speaking of lingerie secrets, ladies are finally discovering the real reason why there’s always a bow in the middle of a bra – and it’s blowing their minds.
One observer, with an interest in history, fled to Quora to answer the interesting question.
Why is the bow there?
They explained: “In olden days when women wore corsets, there was a piece of whalebone called a busk.
“It was inserted in a sheath down the front of the corset and tied in place with a bow. The busk is gone but the bow remains.”
While another clever user explained that the roots of the tradition of the bow being on not just bras – but also kickers – comes from ‘pre-elastic days.’

The Quora poster said: “As for the roots of the tradition, It comes from pre-elastic days, when your underthings were held in place by a bit of ribbon threaded through the eyelet lace at the tops.
“The little bow is where you tie that ribbon, and of course it’s in the front because that’s the easiest place to do something like that.”
