My mother-in-law told me to ‘dress my age’ but I refuse to stop wearing short shorts
AS we age, society expects us to start dressing more and more conservatively.
A TikToker is challenging this idea, sharing a clip of the clothes she wears on a daily basis that her mother-in-law thinks aren’t suitable.
TikTok user EJK, who runs the account @omgpolarprincess, shared an example of her everyday attire that she was told isn’t age-appropriate.
“My mother-in-law tells me it’s time to dress my age,” the TikToker wrote in her video.
She added: “But granny panties and high rises are so uncomfortable.”
The influencer can be seen wearing a light green cropped tank top with an asymmetrical hemline.

She completed the look with a pair of short denim shorts that she pulled slightly to show the top of her navy-colored thong.
The TikToker danced around in the outfit, spinning to give her viewers a full view of the supposedly inappropriate attire.
EJK pointed out that she’s not even that old in the caption of the video.
She also said her mother-in-law, and anyone else who disapproves, will just have to “deal with it.”
