I’m struggle to find a reason to go on living after parents died in car accident six months ago
DEAR DEIDRE: I HAVE felt so alone since my parents died in a car accident six months ago.
They were both in their 50s and in great health, so it took me completely off guard.
While I expected my friends to come together to support me, I’ve been left feeling completely abandoned.
At the age of 29, I’m struggling to find a reason to go on living.
I have nobody to talk to, and life without my Mum and Dad has sent me into a deep depression.
Every time I’ve tried to confide in one of my friends I’ve been met with radio silence.

Nobody seems to understand the pain I’m feeling, and the grief has become overwhelming.
How do I move forward?

Grief can often impact friendships because without a reference point, many don’t understand the depths of this suffering.
