The Apprentice fans in hysterics as they joke contestants are accidentally ‘on the wrong show’
THE Apprentice fans have all been left saying the same thing about the contestants – joking they’re “on the wrong show”.
Fans of the BBC One business competition took to Twitter to suggest the girls had walked onto the wrong TV set.
Tonight, The Apprentice saw the girls and boys split into two teams to compete to make the best bao bun to serve up at a luxury product launch.
However, just minutes into the show – fans were left distracted as they joked the stars were “on the wrong show”.
Ahead of the task, the group were given just 20 minutes to get ready to head to London’s Shard to meet Sir Alan Sugar.
But despite viewers expecting the group to look terrible for the challenge due to the limited time, the girls arrived looking VERY glamorous.
It led fans to flood Twitter to joke that they looked like they had turned up to the wrong TV show.
Many joked that the group would fit in more on ITV2 programme Love Island thanks to their glam looks.
“These girls thought they applied to Love Island didn’t they?” one said, as another chimed in: “These girls are looking very Love Island this series.”
A third agreed: “It’s Love Island in suits,” while a fourth added: “It’s just Love Island but business wear.”
“Reckon there’s a few here whose applications got mixed up with Love Island,” a fifth concluded.
Lord Sugar has previously hit back at claims that his sexy cast were more suited to Love Island than The Apprentice.
The mogul quipped: “I’d be able to answer that if I’d ever watched Love Island, but I have not.”
It comes after fans of the show were left in shock as one of the stars walked out before the end of the show.
However, Shannon Martin was seen leaving the process before she and the 16 other candidates got their feedback.
The businesswoman, who owns a bridal boutique, was seen storming out of the show after the Bao Bun task went wrong.
Shannon was put in charge of dealing with the numbers, despite admitting it was not her strong point.
Shannon, 34, who previously called Lord Sugar her “idol”, walked out before the girls discussed the challenge.
“Lord Sugar, if I may, I’ve made the decision to leave the competition – I just don’t think it’s the environment for me, but I want to say thank you,” she said.
Fans at home were left in shock as she left the process early, as well as Lord Sugar – who described it as a “surprise”.
One fan wrote: “She’s walked out?!,” while another chimed in: “Wow! Shannon just left! For what…”
Opening up about her exit, she said: “I think that going into the process, I was already having some doubts of whether I should go in or not.
“But when you’re given such an amazing opportunity, you’re not ever going to turn that down, it’s an opportunity of a lifetime that I’m forever grateful for.
“I just really felt like I couldn’t focus on the tasks because I was constantly thinking about what was going on at home.
“What’s happening with the business? Is everything okay? I knew in the back of my mind that of course everything would be okay, the team are amazing.
Shannon continued: “But I’m a perfectionist, I need to know what’s going on all the time and not being able to know how things were going on at home or what was happening at work was really hard for me. The unknown is definitely not something I’m good at.”
Admitting that she was happy with her life the way it is, Shannon confessed she didn’t want to win the show and potentially change things.
When asked about how long she’s been watching the show, she said: “Since I was 19 and I’m 35 now, so all 16 series! And the 17th now!
“I’ve watched since day one, since Tim won all those years ago. It’s the one programme that I watch religiously, it’s always on series link, it’s always on record.”
