I went for my first smear test & didn’t get the undressing instructions… the doctor was shocked when she saw me
THOSE 25 and older know that having the smear test done involves removing your bottoms – but one woman removed slightly more.
After she got the invitation to see a clinic for her first ever smear test, Charlotte (@justcallme_charlotte) immediately booked an appointment.
There, like expected, the doctor requested her to undress and lay down behind the curtain – but it seems that the young woman, believed to be from the UK, was confused by the instructions.
Rather than removing just her bottoms, Charlotte took off every piece of clothing and grabbed some tissue paper to cover her top half.
Once the two were ready for the procedure, the expert pulled the curtain aside and was completely stunned by what she was seeing.
”She came round wide eyed and was visibly shocked at what was in front of her.”
This is when Charlotte was then enlightened that a smear test only involves removing your bottoms and undies.
Mortified, the young woman wrote in the caption: ”I need to stop taking things so literal.”
It’s safe to say, the video has left people in hysterics, racking up over 1.4million views in just one day since being uploaded.
One TikTok fan commented: ”Medical staff need to realise some of us need CLEAR STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTION lol.”
Someone else agreed, writing: ”Not your fault!!! Especially during your first smear they should have been clearer.
”Sorry you went through that.”

Another seemed to have struggled with the instructions just as much, saying: ”I laid face down the first time.”
”No why did I have my pants off yesterday for a back allergy test,” a fourth revealed.
Some added that they had also had a similar experience when popping down for a wax – but did you have to go to the loo before the appointment?
Last month, TikTok user Jessica Erin opened up about her experience of giving Brazilian waxes – where most of the hair is removed except for a a “landing strip” on the pubic bone.
Discussing the first thing she notices, the professional explained: “I will sometimes see ingrown hairs, blocked follicles – which is where the hairs come from.
“I typically address those things by doing extractions, whether that’s with Q-tips, my fingers (gloved!) or with my really pointy tweezers.”
Given the nature of the treatment, Jessica says she can tell when people haven’t wiped properly after going to the loo. *shivers*
She continued: “Yes I see hemorrhoids. Let’s just get that out of the way. Totally normal.
“I often run into some little toilet paper balls back there and some poo.
“You can avoid this by using the restroom before you come in and using a wipe and tidying up.
“And you can see the same things you see on the front, on the back!”
What’s more, the expert said she often encounters chafing and fungal infections in her line of work.
Jessica said: “Both are totally normal – especially during the summer months.
“With chafing or anytime the skin is compromised, we do not wax over that area. I wax around it and do my best to tweeze it.”
