BBC Breakfast fans demand Naga Munchetty is replaced for good as Charlie Stayt bags new co-host
BBC Breakfast fans have demanded Naga Munchetty is replaced for good as Charlie Stayt bagged a new co-host.
Naga, 47, normally hosts the programme alongside Charlie, 60, every Thursday to Saturday.
However, she was absent from BBC Breakfast last week and hasn’t returned this week.
While Nina Warhurst stood in for her last week, journalist Rachel Burden has sat alongside Charlie so far this week.
Viewers have loved having the journalist on the show, with many asking for her to become a permanent fixture.
One wrote on Twitter: “Please can we keep Rachel instead of the awful Naga?”
Another added: “BBCBreakfast Rachel burden is one of the better presenters on the BBC.”
A third tweeted: “This pairing of Charlie with Rachel seems to work well as with Nina…..in fact every other woman apart from ….” before finishing with a fingers on lips emoji.
Meanwhile a fourth wrote: “Rachel demonstrating how to do a good interview #BBCBreakfast.”
However, some viewers were missing Naga and are desperate for her to return.
One wrote: “@rachelburden Lovely to see you on @BBCBreakfast today, but where’s @TVNaga01? Really missing her, hope she’s not ill.”
Another tweeted: “@TVNaga01 when are you going to be back on BBC breakfast ? I m missing you.”
A third added: “@TVNaga01 , where are you? My husband has been worried you’ve not been on Breakfast. Hope you’re doing well.”
BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One.
