Seventh arrest after cops find tragic model’s legs in fridge and skull in cooking pot of Hong Kong home
A SEVENTH person has been arrested after a model was brutally murdered and dismembered.
Cops found Abby Choi‘s legs in a fridge and her head in a soup pot after she was killed at a flat in Hong Kong.
The 28-year-old’s ex-husband Alex Kwong has been charged with murder along with his father and older brother.
Police discovered Abby’s remains on February 23 at a flat rented by her former father-in-law that police chillingly said was set up as a butchery site.
Two legs were found in a refrigerator while human tissue, a head and ribs were found inside pots of soup.
Meat grinders and chainsaws were also found at the site in the village of Lung Mei.
But officers are still trying to locate her torso and hands.
DNA tests completed since the grisly discovery have confirmed the skull and ribs found were that of Abby, an insider told South China Morning Post.
Investigators are understood to believe a hole found on the back of her skill shows where she was struck before being killed.
Cops believe she was attacked in a seven-seater vehicle, which was pictured being towed away from the scene after police found blood splatters inside.
Abby’s former husband Kwong, who she had two children with, has been charged with murder along with his dad Kwong Kau, 65, and older brother Anthony Kwong, 31.
Police arrested Abby’s former spouse, 28, as he attempted to flee the city on a speedboat.
He was snared with around £50,000 on him as well as several luxury watches worth more than £400,000, reports CNA.
Kwong’s mum, Jenny Li, 63, meanwhile has been charged with obstructing the case.
All four appeared in court and were denied bail, with another hearing scheduled for May 8.
A 29-year-old woman has now been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
She has been accused of organising a boat to help Kwong escape.
It is the seventh arrest to be made in connection with Abby’s murder.
A 41-year-old man was previously arrested for allegedly aiding and abetting an offender, according to local reports.
Another woman who was arrested on suspicion of assisting other suspects in the case was released on bail..
Cops are understood to suspect Abby’s former father-in-law masterminded the whole thing.
Authorities believe Abby – who had graced a magazine cover in Monaco only last month – had financial disputes with her ex-husband and his family over a property costing 100 million Hong Kong dollars (£10.7m), which she had planned to sell.
Only week before her death, Abby shared a picture of her magazine cover with her almost 90,000 Instagram followers.
She wrote: “From Hong Kong to the cover of L’Official Monaco, my journey as a style icon continues.
“Grateful for this recognition and the continued support along the way.”
In February, she shared a video of herself at the Dior Fashion Show in Paris.
