I asked for cute cat nails but got awful dog ones instead – trolls say I’m overreacting but they’re delusional
A YOUNG woman was left speechless when her nail technician created a design more extreme than she’d asked for.
Kawaii fan Jessie asked for a cute cartoon cat in white against a nude colour for her upcoming holiday to Japan.
But what she got was very far from her vision and she paid £40 for the pleasure.
The 18-year-old was left with orange nails and a spiky-looking animal on her ring finger.
Not only did the cat look questionable, the nails were longer, more pointed and much brighter than the reference picture.
Jessie recalled sitting in the salon and “seeing her nails get further and further away from the inspiration”.
The content creator added that by the time the nail technician had gone off track, she felt it was too late to correct them.
Her experience divided opinions on Tik Tok as people flocked to the comments of her video to weigh in.
Some noted that the painted cat looked more like a dog, while others compared it to a robot or a rabbit.
However, some viewers suggested that Jessie was being “overdramatic” for not liking the design.
One person who wasn’t impressed by her video penned: “They’re fine.
“You’re overdramatic.”
Jessie clapped back: “I think you’re delusional if you honestly think I would keep those.”
Another claimed: “It’s not even that different though.”
Supporters of Jessie jumped to her defence with one woman saying she “would have cried” if it happened to her.
Another quipped: “It’s like they didn’t even try.”
A nail tech added: “I’m a nail tech and doing the nails you asked for is SO EASY!
“Why did they do them so bad?”
Jessie was so horrified by the finished result that she went to another salon an hour later.
The correctional work cost her £55 – or $100 in Melbourne, Australia.
Her nail fail videos have gained lots of attention online, with one video totting up over two million views.
