The Chase star Anne Hegerty issues a brutal swipe to contestant leaving Bradley Walsh speechless
THE Chase quizzer Anne Hegerty shocked viewers as she issues a brutal swipe to a contestant on the show after being left shocked at their performance.
Anne, better known as The Governess, made the shock remark to contestant Beka after admitting that she did not think she should have made it through to the final round.

Facing the tough questions alongside Beka from Nottingham were Daren, Carole and Russell.
Despite being unsure on some of the answers, Bex found herself on a lucky streak as she managed to sail through the round in order to take her £3,000 back to her fellow players, becoming the first member of the team to add some money to the prize pot.
But Anne was left unconvinced after admitting she couldn’t understand how Beka and her knowledge had managed to actually get through.
Issuing a brutal snub to the hopeful, Anne said to Bradley: “I’m not quite sure how she got through but she did, very well done.
Bradley was left aghast as he exclaimed back, “excuse me,” before insisting that Beka could have even gone for the higher offer.
The comment also left fellow player Carole open-mouthed as she could not hide her shock at Anne’s words.
The dig followed a series of ‘awkward’ mishaps earlier in the show where Bradley and Anne attempted to communicate with Beka in Welsh.
Having studied at university in Bangor, North Wales, the contestant revealed that she hoped to use her winnings to re-locate there as she admitted she was learning the language in order to do so.
She said to Bradley: “I can’t have conversations yet but I can read and write it better.”
As Bradley attempted to see what she knew, Beka stared at him blankly as she was left puzzled at his attempts to communicate with her in the language.
Having already issues her dig to the contestant, Anne then later wished her ‘good luck’ in Welsh but it was to no avail as Beka continued to look like a deer in headlights as she failed to respond to Anne.
Having just received the ultimate diss from TV legend Anne, it remains to be seen if she was simply ignoring the star or she had failed to understand the Welsh language once again.
