I’m plus size and ASOS is normally my go-to but I got a haul and it was the biggest fashion flop of my life
A PLUS size fashion fan has shared an ASOS shopping haul but has been left utterly disappointed with what she got.
Isobel Greenfield is a ‘fashion loving fat girl’ but she wasn’t loving ASOS after her last haul.
She said: “Okay. This might be the biggest ASOS flop of my life.”
First the fashion fan tried on the ASOS Design midi skirt with a split hem ecru which is £34.
Isobel said she was a fan of the maxi denim skirt trend as she had already bought two denim maxi skirts from ASOS.
She said: “Now a major trend this year is gonna be the maxi denim skirts. Now, I’ve already got two from last year. I’ve got one in a black and one in denim.”
“And then I see they did one in ecru colour. This is looking a bit more white than ecru.”
However Isobel didn’t like the ASOS skirt she said it was too white and looked cheap.
“I’m not gonna lie. Feel like it looks a little bit cheap. It’s too white. So I think this one’s gonna go back.”
Next Isobel tried on two pairs of trousers, the ASOS design curve parachute black cargo pants, £32 and the ASOS curve pull on cargo trousers with pocket details in Khaki, £40.
She said: “These are in size 22 as well. And they are clearly far too long and big. I’ve tried to pull the toggle in on that side, but they’re too long. So they’re gonna be great for any of the tall plus size girls out there but a no from me.”
“Cargos, also in size 22, but they’re a lot lighter than the khaki cargo that I already have. If they are anything like the last pants I’ve not got high hopes.”

Isobel said the cargo pants gave her a camel toe.
“Completely different fabric. I feel like they’re giving camel toe. These are a definite no.”
Isobel tried on the River Island midi striped dress with flute sleeves which ASOS are selling online for £55 but Isobel was not a fan.
She said: “I’ve actually had high hopes for this dress. It looks stunning on a model. I think it looks a bit short. I like the little flare sleeve moment and I like that it’s got a slit up the leg.”
“I was expecting it to be more structured around here [the stomach area]. I feel like it’s a bit like nothingness around that area. It’s actually knitted fabric like it’s quite thick. I feel like you’d be too hot in the summer.”
Lastly Isobel tried on the ASOS denim curve short sleeve denim shirt dress in blue for £35. This was the only item in her entire haul that Isobel liked.
Isobel said: “I absolutely love the last dress. It reminds me of the Top Shop dresses I used to wear when I was 14. I love how it’s boxy and oversized. You could pop a belt on it if you wanted to. This will look really cool.”
