Amanda Owen leaves Our Yorkshire Farm fans in stitches as she jokes ‘size matters’ with cheeky post
AMANDA OWEN gave her followers something to smile about as she shared the latest update from Ravenseat Farm.
The star, also known as the Yorkshire Shepherdess, 48, regularly posts on social media about the goings on at her farm including what her animals get up to.
Amanda Owen shared this picture of Tony the pony enjoying a horse-sized portion[/caption] She also shared how Maple the horse had managed to open the stable door[/caption]Earlier today, she shared pictures of Tony the pony eating while her horse Maple looked on at the stable door.
Amanda wrote: “Size matters. Tony winning the prize this morning. (A Clydesdale size portion of hot mash that was left cooling). *Maple can reach the latch & has learnt how to open the bottom stable door *#smallisbeautiful #bigisbeautiful #horses #ponies.”
Maple is a Clydesdale horse, a Scottish breed of draught horse that are famed for their strength and power.
Clearly enjoying the joke, one fan wrote: “Love it” Another made the joke about a pony having a horse-size portion, they wrote: “Little fat git, he’ll burst!!”
While others felt sorry for Maple. One said: “Poor Maple,” and another praised him for opening the door: “Clever Maple.”
Earlier this month, Amanda’s other horse, Hazel, was suffering from “severe lameness.” But under a vet’s guidance, Amanda dealt with the issue and Hazel’s abscess burst and the relief was “almost instantaneous.”
Shortly after the incident, she shared a picture of Hazel in the show with Tony keeping her company.
She wrote: “Big strides & little strides but still onwards & upwards. *It’s beyond brilliant to see Hazel on her toes again after the horrible lameness episode.*”
Earlier this week she posted a picture collage outside the family home featuring her ex husband, Clive Owen and their nine children.
She shared it on Instagram Stories and included the text “The farm army.”
