I bought toiletries for a tenner at Home Bargains – I even got a surprise at the till when I got an £8 fake tan for £2
A HOME BARGAINS fan has shared her monster haul of everyday toiletries she nabbed for just a tenner.
Despite being essential, toiletries can be expensive – luckily, one TikTok user Leigh (@mortgagefreeleigh) has revealed how she managed to bag piles of goodies for a mere £10 at Home Bargains.
Pleased with her finds, the money-saving shopper took to TikTok to share the haul, which also saw a popular fake tan retailing for just £2.
First up in the video were bath soaks by Astonish that were scanning for 99p – and there were plenty of lush scents to pick from.
Whilst checking out the range by Astonish, Leigh also stumbled upon anti-bacterial hand wash that was going for under a quid – 99p.
”It’s my adulting thrill in life to buy the hand wash,” she chuckled in the clip, picking up a raspberry ripple scent.
In the shop, she also spotted bamboo toothbrushes, which are a great alternative for those conscious of climate change and sustainability.
Whilst usually a pack of three such toothbrushes retails for almost a fiver on Amazon, Home Bargains offers a similar pack for 99p.
”Love a budget-friendly sustainable option,” Leigh praised the store.
Speaking of all things teeth, the discount store also retails heaps of various toothpastes for bargain prices.
Even Oral-B, which typically scans for more than a pound, was available at the shop for just 99p.
If you’re on the lookout for a cheaper dry shampoo, Leigh spotted a 99p option that claimed to have a sweet Squashies scent.

”Is this weird? I think it’s weird,” the shopper wasn’t so sure about this find.
During the trip to Home Bargains, the woman also found a wide range of anti-perspirants, including a roll-on for under a quid.
But perhaps the best part of the haul was spotting a popular Dove fake tan that usually goes for around £8 in Boots and Superdrug.
Compared to its high-street rivals, Home Bargains offers the gradual tanning lotion for £1.99, meaning you are saving more than a fiver.
In total, Leigh picked up nine products and the total came to less than £10 – £9.69.
”I am IMPRESSED,” the shopper couldn’t believe how cheap the bill was.
Fellow hair and beauty fans were just as stunned by the bargains, with one writing: ”Home Bargains is the best.”
Another agreed, adding: ”Love those sustainable toothbrushes. Great price as well.”
”LOCE Home Bargains for personal care! They have really, really good products like serums,” someone else penned.
