I’m 19 and live in my car full-time, I shower in a gym and the world is my oyster, I love it
A WOMAN has revealed how she lives in her car full-time and it enables her to see the world.
TikTok user Dayra Reynoso uploaded a clip sharing her unusual living quarters, and it has racked up over seven million views.
She wrote on her @esitathelabel account: “Living in my car as a 19 year old.
“Don’t project your fears on me. The world is my oyster.”
In the clip, she showed how she puts down the back seats of the car to be her bed, and she uses a sleeping bag for warmth.
Dayra, who runs a second hand clothing business on Instagram, also showed beautiful locations she had woken up next to, and serene spots where she was able to do yoga.
For food she uses a camping stove and has her own coffee cafetiere.
Dayra uses the gym for keeping in shape and also for showering, brushing her teeth and getting fresh water.
It wasn’t all perfect though as she did show a parking ticket she received for parking outside of the campsite in a state park.
In a follow-up video, she explained more about her life and why she moved into her car, saying: “I’m living in my car because I want to.
“Why not? Anyone can live in their car for whatever reason.
“You have so much freedom.
“I am so grateful for 24/7 gyms. You have a place to shower, work out, do my business.
“I’ve also done my dishes there but you can also do your dishes by refilling your water jug at the gym.”
Dayra admitted she was hesitant to tell her family she was living in her car as she thought her parents would think it was unsafe.
She added: “I had watched so many other people do it on YouTube and I was like I can do that, why can’t I do that?
“I’ve done so much work to not immediately think of negative things.
“Obviously there are risks and I am aware of the risks.”
The biggest drawback to her lifestyle, she admitted, is not being able to use the toilet when you want to.
Dayra continued: “You can’t really pee whenever you want, you have to plan it out.”
Many people seemed intrigued by her lifestyle, with one saying: “Yes love that for you.”
Another added: “Glad to know I’m not the only one living in my car.”
Meanwhile, one person commented: “I did the same, not by choice.”
