I was a broke carer & terrified how I’d feed the kids – now I earn £2k a month, we can finally go on holiday
A SKINT carer who was struggling to support her three kids now rakes in upwards of £2,000-a-month after turning to stripping to beat the cost of living crisis.
Bec Smith’s £400 per month salary looking after vulnerable people in her local community barely covered her bills and she was constantly in debt before starting up in the adult industry.
Bec, 32, who also performs virtually on StunnerZ.com under the name @Bec, revealed that she used to be unable to sleep due to worry of how she would feed her children.
Now, though, she is worlds away from wear she was after taking up stripping four nights a week last year.
She told The Sun Online: “It has 100% improved quality of life.
“I was down on my bills all the time and I used to normally think ‘right which bill am I going to dodge this month’.
“That’s all changed now and I’m always taking the kids on caravan holidays. We go out to more places at the weekends and when they ask me for things, I can actually say ‘yes’.”
The single mum added: “Before I was living day-to-day. I used to get paid monthly and when my bills would go out I’d be left with nothing.
“I was scraping the barrel. That’s why I did it – I just had nothing to lose.”
Her stripping debut came after visiting Katz in Basildon, Essex with a pal for a late-night drink.
She got chatting with one of the dancers, who suggested she should give it a try.
Bec was sceptical but messaged the club the next day and the owner, Nas Mas, invited her down to meet the other dancers.
Just two weeks later she was working there and earning £300 on her first night.
She now works up to four night a week, earning anywhere between £200 and £900
Bec explained that her new job gives her both an extra injection of cash and “incredible” self-confidence.
She explained: “It has made me a lot more confident in my body – when I first started, I put on my outfit and I was like ‘oh my god – I can’t wear this. I’m basically naked’.
“That insecurity has all gone now and I wear what I want. Before I cared more about what people were thinking, but now it doesn’t even cross my mind
“I don’t agree with people who say that strip clubs should be banned or we’re being exploited and forced to do it. At the end of the day it is everyone’s choice and I do enjoy doing it.
“It’s a social job that I’m earning money from it at the same time. It is knackering working until 4am and then getting up and working as a carer the next day. But if I didn’t enjoy it, I wouldn’t do it.”
Nas Mal, who runs five strip clubs as well as online experience StunnerZ said that Bec’s story shows how stripping gives his employees a better quality of life.
He said: “We’ve loved having Bec work with us. She’s embraced both the virtual and traditional side of the industry and has shown how you can juggle performing with a busy family life.
“Long may it continue.”
