I’m a dog trainer in LA – the breeds I absolutely never want, they ‘terrify’ me
A CALIFORNIA-BASED trainer has revealed the dog breeds that are plaguing the city.
The canine expert joked that one particular type is a “pandemic” in L.A.
TikTok user Sam Hoke (@dogtrainerofficial) revealed the dog breeds he never wants “after years of being a dog trainer.”
The professional trainer explained that any doodle mix is usually not well-trained.
“The amount of untrained doodles in L.A. should terrify you,” Sam wrote in the caption of his video.
He gave the example of a Goldendoodle, a cross mix of a poodle and a golden retriever, as one dog breed he would avoid owning.
The influencer then informed viewers that “literally any doodle” is not an ideal pet.
He also referenced Bernedoodles, which is a combination of a poodle and a Bernese mountain dog.
According to the dog expert Sheepadoodles, a mix of a poodle and a sheepdog, are also not recommended.
The TikToker also mentioned a Shiba Inu on his list of no-go dog breeds.
Shiba Inus are often bred with poodles to create the popular Poo-Shi hybrid mix.
“My client list is a pandemic of doodles,” the content creator joked in his clip.
Sam added: “Just to clarify, doodles are incredibly smart, lovable, and trainable. I’m just surrounded by untrained ones 24/7.”
TikTok users took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the advice.
“Take two breeds that should never mix and gamble how much of the worst of each comes through, that’s doodle breeding,” wrote one viewer.
Another follower said: “I have two Goldendoodles, both were very easy to train. They are very smart dogs. I’d say it’s more lazy people than the dog.”
“Not exclusive to L.A. Doodles are so overrated and I’m OVER IT,” commented a third person.
One TikTok user shared: “I work at a dog daycare, it’s ALWAYS the doodles.”
