I converted a $4,000 bread truck into a tiny home on wheels – we have all the mod cons like a fully functional kitchen
AN ADVOCATE of camper life has shared her journey of converting a truck into her tiny home on wheels.
This mobile home had all the mod cons she could wish for, including a fully functional kitchen.
There appeared to be very few compromises to life on the road with this modern conversion.
Camper Hacker (@camperhacker) looked delighted with her finished project.
“Vanlife inspiration,” was how she described herself on her TikTok.
With over 122,000 followers and another 1 million likes, she’s pretty popular.
Camper life has become a modern-day phenomenon and this lady’s story is the latest.
It’s a solution for some with the ever-rising cost of living and renting becoming prohibitively expensive.
But hers was no ordinary camper van. She went for something considerably bigger.
She started her quest for a life on the move with the purchase of an old bread truck.
It was bought in the UK for $4,000 and painted a bright yellow, but somehow she managed to see the potential.
Over many months she transformed it into a fantastic and large home on wheels.
From a windowless, empty shell, she introduced a light-filled modern space.
She had a comfortable lounge area, a fully-fitted kitchen that any householder would be proud of.
There was a bathroom and shower, and finally the bedroom. Windows populated the sides and ceilings and the whole truck was painted in muted greys and beiges.
Commenters loved her home on wheels.
“This is amazing,” said one fan.
While another was equally impressed: “Awesome I’d like this.”
But the final remark was concerned about something else: “Do you struggle to park places.”
