I’m a sexy mum – I spend my childcare benefits on curling my hair and looking fit – being hot is everything
A GLAM mum is proud to spend the time her son goes to nursery on curling her hair and working on her physique at the gym.
Raven Dixon-Biggs uses her free 15 hours of government funded childcare for installing new wigs, styling outfits or enjoying a glass of Prosecco.
The 29-year-old prides herself on maintaining her looks – despite jealousy it causes when she drops her two-year-old son Remington to nursery.
She even wears “£75 River Island dresses to take him to playgroup” and vows she will “never change”.
Raven, from Sandwell, Birmingham, said: “For me personally, as a mum, looking good and feeling good is everything.
“Some mums can’t be arsed to get their roots done, or go to the gym.
“I make that time for myself – I get 15 hours of government childcare for my son – I make sure to use that time.
“With my 15 hours, I’m going to the gym, laying my wig, straightening or curling my hair, I make sure I’ve got my outfits matching – pink bag, pink jacket and pink skirt, for example.
“I make myself feel good so that when I’m back with my child, we’re both feeling good!”
The beauty-obsessed mum even reached for her make-up kit when she went into labour with son Remington.
Raven went into the delivery room donned with false eyelashes, a £300 wig, and her nails perfectly manicured.
Unlike some mums, her 22kg suitcase was stuffed full of hair straighteners, hair crimpers, several outfits, her entire make-up bag – and high heels.
Even the pain of contractions at 6cm dilated wasn’t enough to stop the soon-to-be mum topping up her makeup.
Raven, who has just won Miss Sandwell 2023, said previously: “It gave me a sense of calm as I waited for my baby, my first child, to arrive.
“Even at 6cm dilated, when other women are screaming in agony, I was topping up my powder.
“And whereas other mums pack hospital bags filled with muslins, baby grows and nipple cream, I jammed mine with a makeup sack overflowing with my favourite brands.
“I carefully put it on the nightstand next to me and seeing it there – and being able to update my look during labour – filled me with a sense of deep calm.”
But her constantly polished appearance has caused a stir at playgroup handovers – and other mums don’t always like what they see.
After spending hours doing her make-up each day, Raven says other mums feel “threatened”.
Nevertheless the 29-year-old said she “would rather die” than be seen wearing wearing joggers, a messy bun and a makeup-free face to pick up her son.
Now, the hot mum has called out famous actress Keke Palmer‘s partner for his recent tweets.
Darius Jackson, dad to Keke’s five-month old son, Leodis, made a comment about his baby-mum being serenaded by Usher at his Las Vegas concert this week.
He wrote on Twitter: “It’s the outfit though, you a mom.
“We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife and mother of his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others and he gets told how much of a hater he is.”
In defence of Keke and mums across the globe, Raven hit back: “No man has the right to tell a woman how she can and can’t dress.
“This is Keke Palmer – she looks stunning, and would look stunning whatever she wears.
“But she already has this massive platform with an abundance of pressure on her to look good and be a role model to younger girls.
“Just because you’re a mum – just because you’re a celeb mum – doesn’t mean you’re no longer a human being.
“What we wear isn’t a man’s choice to make – it’s ours.
“We, as women, have fought so hard to have rights. And we’re still fighting now!
“She’s a celeb and she has to go to lots of events. The thought of going to an event without any glam on, looking like a tramp, would make me really depressed!
This comes as other glam mums take pride in their appearance – despite the backlash.
One self-professed “hot mum” claims she’s the “favourite” among all the dads at the school gates.
Australian Lucy Banks, 32, made her bold claims online and caused quite the stir, but she doesn’t care what the tolls say.
Another mum of four has told how she is stared at wherever she goes because men can’t take their eyes off her figure.
Cherry Bloom, 41, loves to wear tight clothing and enjoys the attention she receives from strangers.
Plus, while many mums will consider it a success if they remember to swap their slippers for shoes on the school run this is certainly not the case for Sarah Malarkey.
The single mum-of-two looks perfectly polished every time she leaves the house and wouldn’t dream of slumming it just because she’s at the school gates.
