Love Island fix row as fans are convinced producers stepped in to end bitter cast feud
LOVE Island fans are convinced that producers “fixed” Catherine and Scott’s chat last night ahead of her bombshell exit.
Last night Catherine and Elom became the latest Islanders to be dumped from the villa, after they were voted the least compatible.
Earlier on in the day, Dublin-based Catherine cleared the air with Scott after weeks of tension following the shock Casa Amor recoupling, where she returned to the main villa with Elom.
But some fans were sceptical about how genuine the chat was – with some suggesting it was a set-up in a bid to do “damage control” before she left the villa.
One wrote: “Producers ain’t slick. This Catherine & Scott convo should have aired days ago and she should have been shown apologising. It’s too little too late even in terms of managing hate Catherine may face once exiting villa. Prod really fumbled their duty of care.
Another posted: “It felt like damage control that Catherine and Scott chat. The producers know one of them is leaving soon and they want to keep the hate down.”
A third echoed: “Catherine and Scott talking?? This is definitely the producers or something cuz…”
This viewer agreed and said: “NOT FALLING FOR THIS FAKE PRODUCER ORCHESTRATED CHAT CATHERINE & Scott. Set up by producers. They seen our comments!!!!”
“Funny how the producers have been showing Catherine being mean Scott and they all of a sudden show Catherine and Scott talking lol it has all come after the 1,000 Ofcom complaints. The producers are sly and are getting scared . Either way they all picked on him,” someone else tweeted.
It comes after fans slammed Catherine for encouraging the other girls to pile-on Scott during an explosive Movie Night.
Scott was hurt when Leah told him that none of the Casa Amor girls wanted him.
He retaliated and told her that she should pipe down after finally finding a voice four weeks into the villa.
The girls were quick to defend Leah, with Kady McDermott saying he had “crossed a line”.
ITV2 viewers were baffled that Catherine failed to step in and defend her former flame, instead she slammed him for not staying loyal, despite only seeing a few seconds of montage.
One wrote: “The girls talking about its giving sheep when they got sheep mentality ALSO like we all see how they handling this Catherine Scott situation?”
Another posted: “I feel for Scott, he had nothing but good intentions & all the girls are mocking him saying no one wanted him? When Sammy said there’s no way Scott would like Catherine, Scott stood by her & we ALL defended her?!? A hot mess, mate.”
A third said: “Catherine, Scott didn’t do s***, you did the most at casa, now you’re talking that no girl wanted Scott? Girl shut up.”
