I’m an elegance coach – six things to steer clear of if you don’t want to look tacky, girls it’s time to bin crop tops
LET’S face it, few people have time to really thing about an outfit before they throw it on in the morning rush.
But if ripped jeans or a slinky crop top is your typical go-to, then you may just want to think again.
That’s because an elegance coach, who posts under the acronym @femmechic_inspo online, has shared the six things that she says people should steer clear of because they make you look “cheap.”
With the sun shining, many of us won’t think twice about slipping into our cool crop tops as we sip on a G&T in the pub garden.
But in a clip posted to TikTok, the elegance whizz claims the top, made increasingly popular by Jennifer Aniston‘s character of Rachel Green in Friends, should be avoided at all costs.
And much to the dismay of fashion fans up and down the country, she then goes on to slam two more easy-to-wear items – ripped jeans and an oversized tracksuit.
According to the elegance whizz, they’ll make you look anything but expensive.
Whether they’re worn with jeans or thrown over a bikini, for many, an oversized shirt is a classic wardrobe staple.

But the elegance whizz says under no circumstances would an elegant lady reach for one in her wardrobe.
Oh, and she says you might want to ditch your “extra long fake nails,” too.
Finally, the elegance coach concludes by sharing a snap of Kylie Kenner wearing a pair of cargo jeans – another item she urges people to avoid at all costs.
The post has since gone viral, racking up a whopping 1.3 million views and hundreds of comments – with very mixed responses.
“Ok i am not elegant,” wrote one.
A second penned: “In my opinion if the crop tops are simple and refined, combined with a long skirt and jewels they can give a touch of elegance.”
A third commented: “This is just so true – I wish more people could understand.”
Meanwhile, a fourth noted: “I agree with everything but wait?? oversized sweatsuit??”
Another quipped: “These are the only things I wear.”
And one more added: “This is so true and nobody shouldn’t take this personally, elegance has to do with mind and behaviour!”
