People say I’m not plus-size when they see me from the front – I prove them wrong when I turn to the side
A NEWLY postpartum mother has shared that people say she doesn’t look plus-size based on how she looks from the front.
She proved them wrong by turning to the side and showing her body in a TikTok video.
Emma Nacewicz (@emmanacewicz) shares relatable motherhood content, curvy outfit inspiration, and unique food recipes online.
She shared a transparent message aimed at people who made comments about her body.
In a TikTok video, she showed viewers how different she looks when she stands straight forward as opposed to turning to the side.
“Sharing how I style my plus-size postpartum body and belly,” she wrote in the video caption.
When the video began, she faced her audience and wore a gray cropped tank top and high-waisted black leggings.
Aloe Black’s pop song The Man played in the background and belted out: “Go ahead and tell everybody. I’m the man, I’m the man, I’m the man.”
The subtitle over her read: “When they see my front side and say ‘You’re not plus-size.”
Emma made funny faces and she gestured to her body before she turned to the side.
“When they see my side profile: My size 18/20 body,” the subtitle changed to read.
Then, she mouthed along to the background song in agreement which sang: “Yes, I am. Yes, I am. Yes, I am.”
Many women resonated with how she felt and divulged their own experiences in the comments.
“I just pretend I only look how I look front-facing,” one viewer commented.
“Same,” another added.
“I feel seen,” another chimed in.
“From the front, I look average, from the side I look 5 months pregnant,” a TikTok user shared.
