I’m a dog expert… here are five breeds I would NEVER own
THIS dog “expert” has shared her opinions on what dog breeds she would never own – and the odd reasons why.
TikToker “Pelusa the Nibbler” shared the reasons why she would never own breeds including West Highland Terriers and even labs.
She said: “Dog breeds I’ll never own as someone who works with dogs.
“Westies: they bite first and think later. They don’t care about you as soon as you’re outside. Little rat dogs.”
The TikToker is also not a fan of Labrador retrievers, which she calls “dog s*** eaters”.
She explained: “They will literally eat anything even if it literally kills them. Sorry, I wouldn’t own a dog dumb enough to eat things that aren’t food.”
Also on the no-go list are French Bulldogs and Bichon Frises – who she says have difficulty breathing and dental issues.
She continued: “Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are so unhealthy. 90 per cent of them die due to inherited heart disease.
“Jack Russell Terriers are just too much dog for me personally.
“Chihuahuas are always so nervous and scared of everything.”
Not everyone agreed with the “dog expert” on her opinions.
One commented: “Labs are rated in the top most intelligent breeds – you’re wrong there.”
Another chimed in: “All of the breeds you posted are incredible if bred and raised right.”
Another dog expert shared the three breeds he avoids at all costs.
One of the animals is a regular fan favorite, while another is a supposed “monster” with the ability to “kill a pack of wolves.”
The first breed he lists is the Tibetan Mastiff.
“A monster of a dog that is capable of killing an entire pack of wolves,” he said.
He also mentioned that even though they’re beautiful animals, they’re very stubborn and difficult to train, making them not the best pets for small children.
The second dog breed is a Great Dane, which are “really sweet dogs and make amazing pets” but are too big for most homes.
“The problem is it’s a complete lifestyle changer,” he explained. “You’d have to basically rearrange your whole house.”
Lastly, the content creator said that the Cane Corso is the number one dog breed he does not recommend for families because “it’s too much dog for about 99.9 per cent of folks.”
“They are absolutely battle tanks, and you don’t need that in your suburban neighborhood,” he added.
