Inspirational TV presenter signs up to strip for Real Full Monty after shock single masectomy
JULIA BRADBURY has already inspired countless people with her courage as she battled with breast cancer in the public eye – but she’s not done yet.
I can reveal the TV presenter is taking her campaigning to the next level as the latest star to sign up for ITV’s The Real Full Monty.
Julia Bradbury is the latest star to sign up for ITV’s The Real Full Monty[/caption]Julia, who underwent a single mastectomy in October 2021 after doctors found a 6cm tumour in her left breast, will bravely strip off alongside a string of other celebrities.
Dancing on Ice’s Vanessa Bauer, Paul Burrell, Gemma Collins and Corrie star Victoria Ekanoye are also on the show, which aims to raise awareness of the importance of getting yourself checked for the early signs of cancer.
Julia is the biggest name revealed to be on the cast so far.
A source said: “Julia has been so inspiring, honest and real throughout her journey and so was a natural choice for ITV bosses in casting the next series of Real Full Monty.
“Julia calls herself a ‘cancer thriver’ and she sees taking part as the embodiment of that; doing something bold and brave.
“She jumped at the chance of being involved as she wants to do everything she can to encourage men and women to check themselves and be more open about their health.
“Whilst other members of the cast are dancers or performers, it won’t come as naturally for Julia – but that’s what will make her involvement all the more inspiring.”
The Countryfile host was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2021 following a mammogram in July, a year after finding a lump that proved to be a cluster of benign micro-cysts.
The next month she went under the knife for a mastectomy.
Julia posed for a powerful mirror selfie, showing off her surgery scar.
She told The Sun: “I’m grateful for every single day and I do look at life differently.
“Obviously when something like a cancer diagnosis comes your way, your whole world becomes about that, how you are going to handle it and the impact on your family, friends and loved ones.”
Rylan’s hair to Kendall
RYLAN CLARK unleashed his inner Kardashian to recreate 2015’s most-liked Instagram snap by Kendall Jenner.
While launching Samsung’s selfie competition – which has a £500,000 prize – he also channelled Lewis Capaldi in a towel turban and pink glasses.
Rylan joked: “I’m the king of selfies and on some days one selfie can lead to taking 100.”
Iain: Try real life love isle
EIGHT years of narrating Love Island has given Iain Stirling plenty of ideas on how he would like to spice up the ITV2 show.
And the comedian is keen to see producers take them on ahead of the final episodes of this series.
One idea is to add more “real life” obstacles into the couples’ final tests.
He said: “I would like to see them spice up that last week. You’ve got the baby challenge, you’ve got the meet the parents bit.
“But I’d love them to do each other’s washing, even set up a photoshoot to announce their relationship – modern-day things you’ve got to do.”
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
CHANNEL 4 has announced the line- up for new drama The Gathering, about a violent attack on a teenage girl.
Newcomers Eva Morgan and Sadi Soverall will lead the cast alongside Boiling Point’s Vinette Robinson, and Ten Pound Poms’ Warren Brown.
Jamie is a cereal killer
IT appears James Buckley hasn’t grown up much since The Inbetweeners.
Now 35 and a father-of-two, he resembles his childish character Jay Cartwright in the kitchen – as he can’t even make a bowl of cereal.

In the TV Mag, which comes free with The Sun tomorrow, he says: “Yes, I’m rubbish at cooking. My wife cooks for me and the kids. I love making cereal, but I even get that wrong. The kids say I use too much milk.”
Celebrity MasterChef airs next Wednesday on BBC One at 9pm.

I think they’re really good but if you disagree don’t tell me”.
On his travel show Romesh will make three hour-long episodes, visiting Uganda, Rwanda and Madagascar.

She told the Soap From The Box podcast: “We were told before we took to the stage that due to camera hours it wasn’t possible to film our set.
“I’ve been told the BBC had the most negative reaction in the history of Glastonbury about someone not being filmed. It’s lovely and it meant a lot to me.”
