BBC Breakfast guest is told off as she rumbles Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt’s ‘secret supplies’
BBC Breakfast hosts Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty had their secret stash of snacks rumbled by a guest live on today’s show.
Netballer Ama Agbeze drew attention to the presenting pair’s snacks under the desk while discussing the Netball World Cup.
The Commonwealth Games winner, 40, was asked what she’ll be snacking on in the commentary box while watching the on court action.
Beaming Ama replied: “Ooh I’ve seen a banana down there…”
Naga interrupted: “That’s Charlie’s. Don’t come between Charlie and his banana.”
Ama continued: “I like a variety of things. On the way here I bought some apples, pears, fruit, but I also like some not so great things…”
Charlie then said: “You’re not supposed to mention the things down here, by the way.”
The 6ft tall defender laughed: “Sorry, I didn’t get the memo.”
Naga added: “It’s an absolute secret.”
The hosts were sartorially in sync today with Charlie’s olive green tie perfectly matching Naga’s chic outfit.
It was a varied show with a deep dive into the tragic death of PC Matt Ratana who was shot dead inside Croydon police station in 2020 and an interview with Rail Union boss Mick Lynch over the axing of ticket offices across the country also featuring.
