Teacher shares the bonkers list of students names she has joining in September & it’ll test even the best spelling whizz
PICKING the perfect name for your newborn isn’t always easy.
More parents are going for names to make their little ones stand out and some teachers are being left baffled by their class registers.
One teacher recently shared a list of students joining her school and it’s safe to say some of them would put even the best spelling whizz to the test.
Posting on Facebook, the teacher listed some of the more unusual names she spotted “on a quick scan of our school enrolments for this year.”
Some of the names aren’t all that strange though, like Jaxen and Aliyah, but others are definitely on the more bonkers side of things.
There’s a Syakyra, which is pronounced like ‘Shakira, according to the teacher.
Other unusual names include: Christisarah, Rhydah, Presillar, Anjewel’Lea and Biar Biar.
But that’s not all, the long list also includes gems like, Maz, Angel-Lee, Deklyn, Alarna, Karleb and Aaryah.
After sharing the students’ names on Facebook other parents were baffled as to why anyone would pick them for their own kids.
One said: “These parents really aren’t thinking it through.”
“I think a lot of the parents should be enrolling because clearly they never graduated from grade school,” a second slammed.
“This really is tragic, at least none of them will get bullied because they’re all so bad lol,” another wrote.
But some didn’t think the names were that bad or even unique.
One pointed out: “Normal names on this list include Diamond, Aliyah, Jaylene, Porsha, and Aalijah.”
“I don’t think Aliyah or Skylar-raine are tragedies,” another said.
Meanwhile, other teachers shared some of the unusual names of kids they’ve taught.
One said: “My friends a teacher and she has a kid named A’Blessyn.”
And a second added: “I had one that was J’ley and pronounced ‘jaylee’.”
“I had a kid named pistol. i feel like that speaks for itself,” another commented.
