I popped into Home Bargains for butter & ended up bagging my kids’ school uniform for cheap, who would’ve thought?
A MUM has shared a whopping Home Bargains haul where she nabbed her kid’s school uniform for a bargain price.
The savvy shopper said she only went into Home Bargains for some butter but ended up spending over £40.
Elly Hodder shared her ‘chaotic’ haul in a TikTok video online.
She asked: “How did I go into Home Bargains for a block of butter and spend £43.75?”
The savvy shopper was very excited to share the deal she got on her daughter’s school uniform.
The mum explained she seen similar school dresses in Asda but they were expensive so Elly was glad she waited till she found a better deal.
She said: “First of all these were actually essential, I got two kids dresses in because she starts school in September and I thought these were a bargain.”
“Two for £7 and they were two for £10 in Asda when I last looked so Bargainous!”
Elly added she popped in to the Pound Shop to grab an oversized shirt for herself.
She said: “This wasn’t actually from Home Bargains but I went and I got myself and oversized men’s T-shirt from the Pound shop because anything oversized is a win for me.”
The savvy shopper also found a matching pyjama set in the sale section.
She said: “Then these were a bargain. I got a matching pyjama short set – I don’t know what the print is but it’s cute.”

“They were a fiver in the reduced section – I’m gonna put those on in the minute.”
Elly said she bought a £1 crossword search book to help tackle her insomnia.
She said: “Then I got a word search because lately I’m finding it really hard to get to sleep – I think it’s because I’m on my phone too much before I got to bed.”
“So I thought I’m gonna try and do something either read or do a crossword and I saw this and I thought yeah.”
The savvy shopper also bought a bath pillow to level up her self care.
She said: “Then I saw this which I’m really excited about – I love my baths and it’s a bath pillow but it’s got the cooling gel inside so it’s gonna be nice and cool.”
Elly completed her haul with some homeware bargains.
She said: “Two of these I want one to say ‘hand’ and one to say ‘dishes’ I’m going to personalise those. Two of these to personalise for the bathroom.”
The savvy shoppers video racked up over 266,000 views.
