Easiest 2p trick to instantly remove any smudges & toothpaste marks from mirrors – and one swipe is enough
SAVVY cleaning gurus have shared an easy method for removing gross toothpaste marks from your bathroom mirror in just seconds.
The TikTok users only known as @theweescottycleaners explained how you can make your mirror sparkle like brand new with two common household items – and there’s no need to buy any special products.
According to the pros, from Scotland, the answer is easy – a microfiber cloth, as well as a drizzle of washing-up liquid.
Demonstrating the hack to their fans on the page, one of the cleaning enthusiasts simply poured a bit of Fairy liquid onto the cloth that had been dipped in hot water beforehand.
”Everybody’s been asking what cloths we use – they’re Heavy Duty Microfiber [cloths].
”They’re 40cm wide and 40cm long, they’re not the same as the wee ones,” she explained in the video.
Once the soapy solution had been applied to the mirror, the whizz grabbed a fresh cloth and gave the surface one final swipe – and all the smudges and marks came off with no effort.
”You’re not having to buff – it buffs it all for you.
”No more toothpaste marks,” the cleaning duo exclaimed, all chuffed with the results.
”How fast that was – you don’t have to go over it […]. Once is enough.”
Fellow cleaning fanatics raced to comments, where more than 200 people shared their thoughts.
One said: ”Great idea and I’ve used it many times and the small clothes you can get from Tesco you don’t need large ones………. still works just as good.”
Another chimed in: ”My mum been using them for many years , she calls them her magic clothes.”
Someone else added: ”So satisfying I need this.”
Washing-up liquid can be purchased at most supermarkets and stores, including Sainsbury’s where a bottle of their own brand product retails for 60p.
Meanwhile, rival Tesco offer their washing-up liquid for 65p.
