Casualty viewers stunned to spot EastEnders favourite in shock appearance on the show
CASUALTY viewers were left stunned when they spied a familiar face from EastEnders on the show.
The BBC medical drama returned for a double bill where the action was cranked up a notch.
However, many watching along at home were left distracted at a former soap favourite.
Actress Anna Acton left fans open-mouthed when she made a surprise appearance on the programme.
Anna was famed for her year-long role as DC Emma Summerhayes in the Walford-based soap.
She made her debut in 2014 as part of the soap’s memorable Who Killed Lucy Beale? storyline.
In a shocking twist of events, whilst trying to find the culprit responsible for Lucy’s killing, she found herself killed as well.
She was ran over by Roxy Mitchell’s vehicle and killed with Roxy’s sister Ronnie also finding herself in critical condition too.
Despite her short time on the BBC soap, it seems that she certainly made her mark as fans could not wait to point out her former role as partook in Casualty.
Writing online, one viewer said: “”That’s DCI Summerhayes EastEnders fans.”
Someone else said: “Omg it’s Emma SummerHayes from Eastenders.”
As a third added: “I was trying to work out where I’ve seen her before so thank you.”
In Casualty, the star played a pregnant woman who was left bloodied and bruised following a break-in.
