Love Island star Maura Higgins reveals huge career move as she jets off abroad for secret project
LOVE Island star Maura Higgins has revealed a huge career move after jetting off abroad yet again.
The 32-year-old reality star had only just landed back in the UK following her stint abroad with US Love Island, but she’s off again for a mysterious new project.
Maura posted a photo at Gatwick airport on her social media, pulling along a suitcase.
Then, in the next snap, she could be seen holding up a script as she teased a brand new acting project.
Maura wrote: “Script reading on my flight… today I’m going to be an actress.
“Btw I have never acted in my life so this will be very interesting.”
Maura made sure that none of her followers could see what the script was about or who was directing it, as she scribbled out some key bits of information.
The star recently returned from Fiji where she worked on the social channels and behind the scenes content for the US version of Love Island.
And The Sun recently revealed Maura has just signed a new deal to secure her own American dream.
She has appointed Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn’s publicist to handle the raft of opportunities coming her way.
A source said: “Maura continues to make waves across the pond as the digital host for Love Island USA and it’s come with huge demand and work opportunities Stateside.
“Maura is keen to follow in Christine’s footsteps by conquering the fashion world as well as becoming a regular face on US TV.
“Maura’s management from the UK were spotted taking meetings with American television executives and brands in Los Angeles earlier this year.
“Expanding Maura’s team is part of a carefully drawn out global strategy.”
Maura was hotly tipped to host the debut series of Love Island Games but it was confirmed recently that Maya Jama will be fronting the show.
