I’m almost 50 but look 10 years younger – my 10 easy tips and the wrinkle-cinching hairstyle I love
DO you want to wind back the clock and look years younger than you are?
Erin Busbee of Busbee Style – a lifestyle YouTube and website – has revealed how she is nearly 50 but has some very easy tips for looking 10 years younger.
In a clip on her channel, she said: “Today I’m going to talk about some simple and easy beauty tips which can make you look younger.
“I really do believe in the power of looking good, when you look good, you feel good and that is so impactful.
“You are a better wife, a better mum, a better sister, a better friend.
“It affects how you feel on the inside.”
Her first tip is to whiten your teeth.
She said that “nothing ages you faster” than having yellow teeth from food or drinking coffee.
Erin advised: “The best in my opinion is when you go to the dentist, get the impressions done, use the gel they give you inside the impression and use them to whiten your teeth.”
Her second tip is to have “glowing skin” and said it’s a struggle for her living in a dry climate.
She said: “I use a lot of oil, serum oil and sometimes over that I’ll use a balm.
“I’m always in search for that intense moisture.
“Oils will really give you that glow that makes you look more youthful.”
Her new key to looking younger is to use something to make your hair “shiny.”
She said: “If your hair is really dry and brittle, that will age you.
“I use Obliphica, it should make it look shiny and healthy.”
Erin said that thinning hair can age you, so her fourth tip is to get thicker hair.
She said: “You can try hair extensions or hair pieces, you might want to try a halo or clip-in hair extensions.
“I love to use a thickening spray.
“Keep it all one length, it’ll look thicker.”
Another hair tip is to wear her hair in a ponytail, saying: “It’s so young and youthful.
“Pull your hair back in a ponytail and it’s such a youthful look.”
Next you should aim to have thick eyebrows.
She added: “If you are one of those people who plucks, plucks, plucks, or waxes, waxes, waxes, tone it down.
“You can dye them if you have light brows, if you dye them they will look thicker and more lush.”
Tip number seven is to have a light dewy foundation.
Erin explained: “Avoid powder, go light on the foundation, maybe it’s not a super heavy foundation.
“I will mix a bit of a primer with a CC cream and that creates some coverage but still lets my real skin shine through.
“That is key when you are getting older, you want it to be natural but cover up that red.”
Erin also swears by using an eyelid primer and she loves her Too Faced option.
She said it covers up her “red lines” on her lids but creates a nice base.
Her ninth tip was to overline her lips, which can help hide any lines you get on your upper lip as you get older.
It also helps to create a plumped look.
Erin said her last tip – and the most important – is to use sun cream every day.
She said: “I will put it on my face after I’ve moisturised and before I use make-up.
“I put SPF on my hands and chest if it’s exposed.
“It’s a big deal when it comes to anti-ageing.”
