I live in a Tesla so have to get inventive about when and where I go to the loo…& there’s some digging involved
A WOMAN who doesn’t want to fork out on rent so lives in her car full-time has revealed the inventive way she goes to the loo.
Stephanie, who regularly shares photos and videos to document her nomadic lifestyle on social media, lives in a Tesla with her dog Snowy and cat Finley.
Taking to TikTok (@littlehippygal), she responded to a social media user who asked: “How do you deal with human/pet waste?
“Do you have a toilet?”
In the clip, Stephanie, who is Canadian, explains: “Living in a car means that I don’t have a traditional bathroom so let’s talk about what I do instead.
“So first up, I do actually have a few different methods that I use for the bathroom depending on where I am.
“If I’m out in the forest boondocking (dispersed camping on public land) then I usually will bury my waste as long as that’s appropriate…or I will actually bag my waste with backpacking bags and then carry it out with me if burying isn’t allowed.”
Stephanie then goes onto say if she’s in a city, she makes use of a lot of portable toilets, petrol stations or supermarkets.

“There’s also usually put toilets at hiking trailheads and things,” she says.
“And in a pinch, I have my handy pee jug.
“I keep it in this little Lululemon bag because I can bring it in to dump it in a toilet without people looking at me funny.
“As for the pets, Finley mostly goes outside but also has a litterbox and then Snowy of course goes outside.
“So I just bag their waste and carry it out as well.”
Many were eager to know about Stephanie’s living situation and she previously answered questions about where she showers and whether it gets cold.
Speaking of how she keeps clean, Stephanie replied: “Leisure centers, gyms, truckstops, friends houses, rivers and lakes!”
With regards to staying warm, she explained: “I go down south for most of the winter but I’ve definitely camped comfortably in -25/-30 temps! Climate control can run heat or AC.”
