I’m a vet – the three most underestimated dog breeds, number two is gorgeous but way too dangerous for a pet
A VETERINARIAN has identified the dog breeds she thinks are the most underestimated.
She claimed the second one she named is so “dangerous,” they should never be kept as pets.
TikToker Cat Henstridge (@Cat_the_Vet) garnered more than 80,000 from her followers when she revealed her list.
The first dog she identified was the chihuahua. They are described as sassy, charming, and graceful by the American Kennel Club.
They might be known as “purse dogs,” but Cat advised against using chihuahuas as a decoration.
“Take them out of the handbag and put them on the floor,” she said.
“They have legs. Let them use them. Let them be a dog,” Cat continued.
“They are active, intelligent little creatures, not fashion accessories,” she added.
The second breed on Cat’s list was the Belgian Malinois. The AKC defined them as confident, smart, and hardworking.
Cat said they are “gorgeous creatures but they are not pets. Please leave this breed to the professionals.”
In her video, she shared a picture of a Malinois jumping up and biting a man’s arm.
The Belgian Malinois is banned in some U.S. states, like Mississippi, per The Pet Zealot.
They are not banned in the U.K., but they might be in the future, according to the Manchester Evening News.
The last underestimated dog breed on Cat’s list was the cockapoo.
She said they look like “adorable teddy bears” but they’re very needy.
Cat described them as an “extremely cute but extremely demanding package.”
The cockapoo is a cross between a poodle and a cocker spaniel.
They are known for being people-oriented, smart, trainable, and hypoallergenic, per Hill’s Pet.
