BBC Breakfast viewers claim ‘we’ve never seen you like that’ as Naga Munchetty shows a very different side to herself
BBC BREAKFAST viewers were left surprised as Naga Munchetty showed a different side to herself today.
The seasoned journalist and anchor, 48, co-hosted the flagship show alongside Ben Thompson.
Once again usual presenter Charlie Stayt was missing from the red sofa, with no explanation given by bosses.
During the show Naga and Ben showed a less formal side to themselves with a light-hearted news report.
The pair explained how one unlucky man was hit in the head when a pigeon flew into him.
Nottingham native Michael Speirs was on his way to the shops when the bird appeared to fly off course.
Thankfully the pigeon appeared uninjured following the collision, but the clip had Naga in stitches of laughter.
She couldn’t contain her giggles as she said: “I’m sweating. It’s like when you watch a video and know you’re not supposed to laugh but it often makes you laugh even more.”
Ben added: “And it’s the way the pigeon sort of comes through and sorters off, it’s quite happy.”
Naga also reassured viewers the pigeon was “absolutely fine” as the hilarious clip played once again.
Viewers at home were loving the more relaxed side to Naga, saying they had ‘never seen her like that before’.
Taking to social media, one fan said: “I’ve been sitting here crying! Naga’s giggling is hilarious.”
A second wrote: “Aww Naga’s laugh is amazing.”
“That clip of pigeon was so funny not seen u laugh like that before on TV was really nice,” said a third viewer.
While a fourth commented: “It was funny and got me off to a good start for the day thanks Naga for the giggles.”
BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One and iPlayer.
