I work in Primark – people rage that cartoon clothes are always Stitch but there’s a simple reason for it
HAVE you ever walked into Primark and wondered why there’s just SO much Stitch stock everywhere?
If so, you certainly aren’t the only one – with people even taking to social media to rage about it.
However, one former Primark employee has revealed there’s a good reason they buy so much of the Disney merchandise in.
And that’s because it always sells.
“Former Primark employee here – it SELLS,” one person explained.
“People used to ring up to make sure we had the Stitch stuff in so they could come get one of everything.”
“I work here and it sells so well, its insane,” another Primark worker said.
As a third revealed: “I work in primark!
“So basically every second person I serve when I’m on the tills is buying stitch stuff, mostly for kids and Disney adults.”
The comments were all left on Gina’s TikTok video, after she’d shared the clip complaining about just how much Stitch stuff was in her local store.
“Why is it that every time I go into Primark, the Stitch merchandise continues to multiply?” she said, showing the shelves and shelves of stock.
“Who is buying this? I swear to Jesus, who?
“Is it the Disney adults? Because you guys need serious help.
“Who needs all this Stitch merchandise?
“The movie is cute but it’s like 20 years old.
“I don’t understand why everything in Primark is Stitch.
“Stitch slippers, Stitch bags – and it’s £23!
“Someone in the Primark head office has some explaining to do because I’m so confused as to why we need Stitch handbags, Stitch headbands, Stitch scrunchies.”
She went on to marvel at all the Stitch products, including themed beauty products, shoes and even luggage.
Holding a multipack of Stitch earrings, Gina added: “And this isn’t for kids – this is all in womenswear. This is for grown a*s women.
“The multitude of items is ridiculous. And I never see anyone with any of this stuff, so I’m very confused as to why they continue to stock it.”
Concluding, she said: “In case that’s not enough, here’s a Stitch gift card!”
Other people were quick to comment on the video, with one writing: “The stitch pyjamas are adorable but who is wearing the clothes? I’ve never seen one person wearing them.”
“I was thinking the same thing when I was in primark!” another admitted.
“At least mix it up with other Disney stuff.”
“I honestly didn’t even realise stitch was that popular,” a third wrote.
“It’s so random bc the film wasn’t even a major success,” someone else pondered.
“Don’t get me started on Stitch merch, its a 20+year old movie, why is it suddenly relevant??” another raged.
“My kid and all her friends are suddenly obsessed with Stitch, I don’t get it,” someone else wrote.
To which Gina replied: “Is it code for something!?”
