Shoppers race to The Range to nab a dupe of the viral Stanley cup that’s just £3.99… but there’s a catch
IT’S the viral cup that people were desperate to get their hands on earlier this year.
But those who wanted a Stanley cup all to themselves are now heading to The Range in their thousands.
As the store has released a new dupe of the cup that costs just £3.99.
In comparison, getting an authentic Stanley cup in the UK can cost anywhere from £28 to £50.
Mia was one of the people taking to TikTok to rave about the dupe, sharing a video of the pink, green, yellow and black ones.
“Run to The Range for £3.99 Stanley dupes!” she wrote over her video.
“I got one today!!! Such a bargain,” one person commented on the clip.
As another added: “£3.99!! I need one in every colour!”
“Don’t, I’ll be getting every single colour!” a third wrote.
“This seems like a need,” someone else said.
However, there’s a catch with the knock-off.
“I went today & they said they’re not the insulated ones – they’re just plastic,” one person warned.
“But it doesn’t keep drinks cold because it’s not insulated,” another added.
“It’s just plastic same as a normal bottle”.
Meanwhile, Faye’s TikTok showed that there’s also a white version of the cups on offer.
“okay i want white pink and black now,” one person commented.
“I need one ASAP!!” another added.
“If I get there tomorrow and there is none due to this stupid app I’ll be raging.” a third admitted.
“Been hunting everywhere!”
Predictably, the response on social media has seen people flock to the stores – meaning that the cups, known as the 40Oz Jumbo Plastic Mug – have completely sold out online, in every colour.
Hannah posted a picture on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook of the store in Rugby where she’d spotted tonnes of the cups in all five colours.
“Got one yesterday in Plymouth store, they are brilliant,” one person commented on there.
“I bought mine for £20 – look at this bargain!” another marvelled.
While others quickly tagged their friends and got to work planning a trip to The Range for the cups.
