BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt finally reunited but fans beg ‘please stop!’ as she ‘shouts over’ guest
BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt were finally reunited on today’s show – but fans were too distracted by Naga’s interview technique.
The journalists haven’t been on the BBC Breakfast sofa together for a couple of weeks while Charlie enjoyed a break from the show, leaving Naga to co-host with other members of the team such as Ben Thompson.
But today they were finally back together, and viewers were delighted to see them.
One took to X – formerly Twitter – to write: “Yep, and may I say Charlie and your good self are the best presenters.”
Another added: “Can I have whatever you and Charlie have in your coffee @TVNaga01 as the 1st half hour of @BBCBreakfast was very entertaining.”
Naga was also delighted, and shared a wide shot snap of the studio, showing herself and Charlie on the sofa while Mike Bushell, Ben Boulos and Matt Taylor stood off camera at various points.
She captioned the snap: “The whole @bbcbreakfast gang in the studio this morning” and finished with a love heart emoji.
However, others were not impressed by her interviewing style as she chatted to guests in the studio, including Strictly’s Jody Cundy and his professional partner Jowita Przystal.
One wrote: “When will @TVNaga01 realise that if she talks/shouts over what an interviewee is saying, we the viewers do not understand what anyone is saying. Please stop it Naga.”
Another tweeted: “Absolutely unwatchable with you presenting, you’re so stilted, you’re not a natural.”
BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One.
