THE REPAIR Shop is welcoming a new expert to the team after winning the prestigious title of best daytime show.

The practical programme beat This Morning to the number one spot at the NTAs.

And now bosses are looking to expand the team who work hard to restore family heirlooms.

Pierro Pozella announced that he will be getting his start on the BBC show in a video on Instagram yesterday.

The camera expert introduced himself saying: “Hi, you might not have seen me before.

“I’m one of the new experts on The Repair Shop. My name is Pierro, and you’ll be able to watch one of my first camera repairs tonight at 8pm on BBC One.”

Fans flocked to the comments to welcome Pierro to the show, and express their excitement to see him in upcoming episodes.

One enthusiastic viewer wrote: “Hi Pierro. Welcome to The Repair Shop. You are joining the most fabulous, talented and skilful team of experts.

“We look forward to every show. Thank you Jay and team for giving us the best show on TV.”

Another added: “Welcome! Looking forward to seeing your repair.”
